Student Art Show 2007

Hello Everyone,
The beginning of April marked the opening of the Parkland Art and Design Student Show.
Two of my pieces got accepted, my color pencil book and my white plaster piece.
The night of the show I received two awards, one from Art-Coop and one Merit award.
I am very excited and grateful for the awards, I got a gift certificate from Art-Coop, which is a fantastic art store here in Champaign with art supplies galore!!
Here are some pictures of the night.
Here is a picture of two of my fellow buddies who were in 3D design with me this past semester.

Jewelry
Since I have never done jewelry before this has been loads of new fun for me. I have also realized that Jewelry requires a great deal of patience, which I am trying to have more of :)
For our first project we made a bookmark, mine is a peacock design, which was sawed/drilled out of copper, then I baked it in the oven to get some color changes.

Here are some sample projects of sautering:

Pencil and color washes!
Hello Everyone, here is some of the latest things I've been doing. You use pencil drawings and basically paint over it after that! I actually love this method!

Watercolor Painting
Hello Everyone,
Here are some of the examples of my watercolor endeavors.
These first two pieces are in-class practice. One is a method of controlled painting(on the right) and the other wet-onto-wet(on the left), where you let wet paint run.
