This blog is available to the Internet for the purpose of providing family and friends with a means to see some of the things I'm creating in my art classes at school. I'll categorize them by classes.
I started my first semester at Parkland College with 2D design and drawing I. This past semester, I had 3D design and drawing II. In the coming semester, I will have water color painting and metalwork/jewelry design.
Let me start:
For 2D design, we worked a lot with black and white. Using pen, pencil, marker, ink and some collage. We mostly did designs, patterns, and the basic principles of design. Here are a couple examples of work that I did.
This project was done by making small dots on the page, the entire page is made out of little dots, over and over and over and over again...
Here is a morph project, where you take an image, distort it and then change it in a series of blocks, mine reads from top left to bottom left.
This was a self portrait done in shades of gray, this poster is huge and took an incredibly long time to finish since each square is so small.
This triangle shaped image was done in black color pencil.
The following image dealt with the illusion of movement, and had to be done with black paper on a white surface.
Finally, our final project was making a book! Not only did you make a book, but you had to design a plan and then use color pencil to create images that would look cohesive, but also be viewed page by page. Here it is ...finally some COLOR!!! or for those in S. Africa COLOUR!!!
